Question: What does it mean to fully commit myself to you?

Question: Why can’t I commit myself fully? Whatever the reasons may be, please take them away.

Meaning: We have many hang-ups that keep us prisoners.
Deeply embedded values and beliefs about who we should be and what we should do. We are unable to let go of the “roles in life” we play and how we should go about fulfilling these roles. We hang on to an image that we want to protect or maintain, and accepting God means letting go of whatever image we want to portray to ourselves and to others.
We have battle scars that we have sustained and oftentimes suppressed. We have deep wounds about love and trust issues that hampers one’s ability to:
Accept that God loves you
Accept that you love God
Have faith in the love of God - that is it genuine, real and everlasting.
Put everything and everyone that is valuable to you on the table. Even though we may think that we are ready to give everything to God there are certain things we are not willing to entrust to God completely, specifically those whom we love.
Accept that life and relationships in Heaven are perfect.
